Exterior & Interior Painting FAQ

What cities / areas do you work?

We’re based out of Bothell, and work throughout the Eastside including Bothell, Kenmore, Kirkland, Redmond, Woodinville, and Bellevue. In the past we’ve worked in Seattle, but the traffic has gotten such that we now focus our work on projects north and east of Lake Washington.

Yes, we pressure wash.

It’s generally recommended to wait about two weeks between pressure washing and painting. This allows enough time for all surfaces—especially wood or porous materials—to dry thoroughly. Painting too soon can trap moisture beneath the surface, which may lead to peeling, bubbling, or mold growth. Always ensure the surface is completely dry before beginning any priming or painting work. If the weather is cool or humid, drying times may be longer, so adjust your schedule accordingly.

It depends on the weather. While each season can offer opportunities for painting, temperature, humidity, and precipitation play a major role in determining when it’s safe and effective to paint. Most paints require a minimum temperature to cure properly, and high humidity or rain can prevent the paint from adhering or drying correctly.

For example, in spring or fall, you may only have a few good hours per day, while summer often provides longer windows—unless it’s too hot or humid. Always check the forecast and follow the paint manufacturer’s temperature and drying recommendations for the best results.

As long as the weather permits.

When it’s warm and dry.

Sounds silly, but we get asked this often. YES! We pressure wash in all weather but we do not paint in the rain.

We use Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore paints. For decks, we prefer to use Cabot, TWP, or Sikkens products. We are also able to accommodate your budget or special situations with the appropriate product. For interiors, we use eco-friendly, zero VOC paints to help cut down on the smell and have less of an impact on the environment. Yes, always.

This depends on the time of year, but no less than 2 people on any job. Total crew is 4-7 people.

No! We do everything ourselves—all the painting, deck refinishing, pressure washing, etc. We can help you find tradespeople for other projects, if you need referrals.

No. But we can apply a moss treatment for free (the customer will pay for the chemicals though).

We take check or credit card / debit card (subject to a 3.5% fee). We usually ask for a check to cover the cost of paint upfront, and the balance to be paid at the conclusion of the job.

We work on a first come first serve basis. As soon as you approve the estimate, we can schedule the date of pressure washing (for exteriors) and then painting. Exterior jobs are weather dependant.
